Our family has seen its share of determination. While I was away, Pam embodied the example of the definition above as a woman of great courage and determination. She and the kids lived with determination, diligence, and resilience as they endured a trying time as a temporary widow and temporary orphans, a season that God used and continues to use for his glory.
As a result of our family’s experience, we have also made a determination of our own: to inspire, equip and mobilize the church to obey a direct command of Christ by meeting the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of the forgotten and hidden victims affected by incarceration. That’s our mission, and we are determined to achieve it!
Finally, we recently received a Determination Letter from the IRS. The letter says that the IRS has determined that Qavah Ministries is “exempt from federal income tax under the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c)(3)” as described in the first definition of determination above .
This is great news! After a rather lengthy and arduous application process, the IRS has determined that we qualify to operate as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. And we are grateful for that affirmation! And we wanted to share that with you!
We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. Proverbs 16:9
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Proverbs 4:23
Carefully determine what please the Lord. Ephesians 5:10
As you seek to live in God’s will, we pray and affirm that you hear his voice, carefully determine what pleases him, and obey!
Grace and peace,
Delton
